Different media- vinyl progression

Rather than just focusing on using vinyl as a design I wanted to try out other materials which i could create 'bold' designs with. 

My aim for this is to create colourful backgrounds and black designs over the top. 

For this I used a 3D paint pen. I applied it onto plastic so I could move it around the background to create different shapes. It didn't turn out as smooth as I wanted it to.

For this I used a magazine to cut out the shape I wanted and removed the middle, then stuck over my painted background. I like the contrast between the colour of the shapes and the harsh black lines.
