Artist influences

Gabriel Moreno
I like the contrast between the bright background colours using inks, with the bold black lines over the top.
He uses black lines to define other simple shapes in the the hair. I think my drawings show resemblance to his as they are contemporary and overlap.

Maija Louekari
The use of single continuous line drawing is apparent in this piece, I like how it's all overlapped and the colours are simple.
This one looks more digital compared to the others but I like how it's also overlapped. The black patterns over the top show detail and repeat.
The use of grey pen and black creates a layered affect like the first picture It's continuous and flows well. I would describe her work as geometric, bold, continuous, busy, and stylised.

Orla Kiely

Her work shows repeat and a good use of colour. The neutral earthy colours go so well together and are equally as modern as the design. I like to keep things quite simple and the shapes in her work show this. Maybe overlapping shapes in the same style would work well.
